We’ve been busy here at OMUK towers. One of the titles we’ve had a chance to sprinkle our magic over is Ubisoft’s latest racing game, The Crew. OMUK provided additional cast for the game, and we’re thrilled to see it being so well received. It really is a unique racer, as this review from The Independent demonstrates.

This week sees the release of Randal’s Monday, a title we truly enjoyed working on. Congratulations to the teams at Nexus Games Studios and Daedalic on the release of the title, truly a labor of love by the teams on all fronts. It’s available for Pre-Purchase on Steam right now, and will also be coming to other digital platforms starting from November 12th.

It’s an exciting day for fans of classic games. The remastered edition of Cinemaware’s classic game Wings! launches on Steam and other digital distribution platforms this week, and OMUK was there to help provide VO recording, direction and post production services on the title. The original game featured no voice acting, so having the opportunity to contribute to the new version of the game was lovely.

We had the opportunity to record an exciting project here at OMUK in conjunction with Nexus Games Studios and Daedalic Entertainment. Randal’s Monday is a passion project by the small team at Nexus, and we were delighted to have been involved in the recording and casting of the game, which features Clerks star Jeff Anderson in the titular role of Randal. Here’s a trailer for the game, with some behind the scenes footage recorded in a very familiar location.
This Friday, at 10:15AM, OMUK’s very own Mark Estdale will be involved in a panel at SensoriaPro, Sheffield’s festival of music, film and digital entertainment. The panel details are as follows;

We have a fantastic line up that covers music, sound design and dialogue production.
John Broomhall will moderate a panel including sound designer Joanna Orland (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe), composer Joe Thwaites (Sony) and dialogue specialist Mark Estdale (OMUK).

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 has been released on Steam Early Access. We’re proud of our work on this one, it may well be even funnier than the first game… but that’s up to you all to decide. Announced this month at E3, Ubisoft’s ‘The Crew’, the highly anticipated open world driving game by Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections, will be arriving on store shelves on November 11. OMUK are delighted to have contributed to this title, providing casting and direction on some of the voices to feature in the game. It has been a wonderful experience working with Ubisoft, watch this space for further news on partnerships between our two companies.
