actors cast and working with you during the development cycle. Find
voice as soon as the character art is agreed.
The actor's craft
brings character to life. Actors naturally immerse in character. Their
art should not be underestimated. Most actors have spent a lifetime
honing their craft and what they can bring to both script and character
should not be left until the script is finished and the recordings are
needed.
If you value your
characters and your script we strongly recommend getting cast members
together with the script writers and animators for script and character
workshops. Do it as early as you can in the production cycle. There are a number of

One major element of
our expertise with actors is as the communication link between the
language of the developer and the language needed to evoke performance.
Actors are like thoroughbred racehorses: they need careful handling.
This is one of the main reasons why we will press to have an experienced
voice director in all recording sessions. In the studio the voice
director
provides a clear comfort zone for both developer and performer.
We also
insist that key creative personnel from the development team are present
for recording. The knowledge and intimacy they hold is essential to
resource the actor. We need to draw that knowledge out and clearly
communicate the actable.
